
Darrin T. Husmann is a seasoned senior leader and project management professional with more than thirty-five years of combined military and civilian experience spanning defense innovation, technology integration, and enterprise program execution. A retired U.S. Army Reserve Colonel and certified Project Management Professional (PMP), he brings a unique blend of operational, technical, and organizational expertise to complex, multidisciplinary environments.
Mr. Husmann currently serves as the Founder and Owner of Husmann Technologies, LLC, an Oklahoma City–based firm specializing in the development and lifecycle management of advanced defense, agricultural, financial, and construction technologies.
Prior to founding Husmann Technologies, Mr. Husmann served as Military Deputy Director and Commanding Energy Portfolio Lead for Operational Energy – Innovation (OE-I) within the Office of the Secretary of Defense (A&S) and the Defense Innovation Unit. In this role, he managed the analytics and integration portfolio for advanced operational energy research, development, testing, and evaluation (RDT&E). His efforts directly influenced Joint capabilities, policy, and Congressional engagement, ensuring alignment with the National Defense Strategy and Executive Orders on energy efficiency and resiliency.
Mr. Husmann earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a Minor in Management Information Systems from the University of Oklahoma, and he holds advanced military education credentials from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College (ILE) and Stanford University.
He remains an active Project Management Professional (PMP) and a dedicated supporter of veterans’ organizations in the Oklahoma City area, where he mentors transitioning service members and contributes to local veteran engagement and leadership programs.
